Issues that include and also go far beyond violation of consent - race, disability, worker exploitation, general capitalist greed, etc. etc. A list so long that it would take far more labor to expound than I’m willing to give. And, likely, nothing you aren’t already fully aware of and willfully continuing to perpetuate. It’s devastating to see members of your own community take advantage of the people who trusted them, purely for their own financial profit. My doctor advised that I must avoid pools and sun (hormone therapy) until further notice. It is infeasible to continue membership at this time. I run a Reentry court and understand how supportive community can be valuable to recovery and humanity. I love y'all presence in the community. After my bike got nabbed on the fence outside the pool, and before I purchased a membership, I was assured by two staff members I could park inside. Since that policy has changed, I unfortunately can't justify the membership + the cost of an Uber to/from the pool. The heated pool is part of what sold me on the membership to begin with. Also I only wanted to pause the membership while the weather is cold, and I was told multiple times it was possible to to pause, and that I can pause as many times as I want up to a month.
