Everyone is welcome here, and we mean it literally
The Railyard NOLA is a queer and trans owned and operated bed and breakfast. We were built by our community, for our community, and for anyone who treats that community with respect.
Zero tolerance
We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment or hostility on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. That applies to guests, to pool members and day guests, to staff, to vendors and to anyone else who sets foot on this property. It is not a preference and it is not aspirational. It is a condition of being here.
The same applies to discrimination on the basis of race, colour, ethnicity, national origin, religion, age, disability, marital status, body size, HIV status, or any other characteristic that has ever been used to make someone feel they do not belong in a place like this.
What that means in practice
- You will be addressed by the name and pronouns you give us. You do not have to explain them, and we do not need a reason.
- You will not be asked to justify who you are travelling with, or why.
- Our bathrooms and changing areas are for whoever needs them. We do not police them.
- Our clothing-optional pool is clothing-optional for everyone, and nobody is ever required to take anything off.
- Staff are held to this charter exactly as guests are, and are protected by it exactly as guests are.
If something goes wrong
If you experience or witness anything that falls short of this, we want to hear about it, and we would rather hear about it while you are still here. Our LGBTQ+ Customer Champion is our General Manager, reachable at generalmanager@therailyardnola.com or +1 (504) 490-2212. If you would rather go straight to ownership, write to info@therailyardnola.com and it reaches the owners directly.
If you would rather not give your name, you can report anonymously here.
Every report is taken seriously, handled confidentially, and answered. Guests who breach this charter are asked to leave, and we do not refund the remainder of their stay.
